Gerald "Jerry" E. Hudachko

October 13, 1939 ~ May 23, 2019 (age 79)



  Gerald E. "Jerry" Hudachko, 79, of Cadiz, Kentucky and formerly of Streator passed away at 4:00 PM Thursday (May 23, 2019) at the Anna Mae Owens Hospice Home in Murray, Kentucky.

  Private graveside services will be held at St. Stephen’s Cemetery.  Rev. William Callister of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will officiate.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  The Hagi & Baker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

  He was born October 13, 1939 in Streator to Andrew & Berta (Weber) Hudachko.  He married the former Sandra Halbert in 1963 in Carmel, Indiana.  She survives in Cadiz.

  He is also survived by his children:  Todd (Tana) Hudachko of Indianpolis, IN and Tracy (Jason) Staggers of Kent, Washington; grandchildren:  Katie & Kara Hudachko, Madison and Mia Staggers and a sister, Andrea H. Combs of Streator.

  He was preceded in death by his parents.

  Jerry graduated from Streator Township High School and Butler University in Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Science.

He owned and operated Hudachko Drugs for 30 years retiring in 1994.  He had also worked for Walgreens for 5 years; 15 years at Save-On Drugs in Cadiz and was an active pharmacist for 50 years.

  While at Butler University he was a member of Lambda Cai Fraternity.  He was a member of the Streator Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 591, a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and had served on the Board of Streator Federal Savings & Loan for 10 years. 

  He and his wife retired to Lake Barkley in Kentucky where he loved to fish and go boating.

  Memorials may be directed to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice or the Hydrocephalus Association Development Office at 4340 East West Highway 905 in Bethesda, Maryland, 20814-4497.
