Obituary

  Richard “Dick” L. Morgan, 82, of Streator passed away at 6:44 AM Monday (September 30, 2019) at O.S.F. St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.

  A visitation will be held from 10 AM until Noon Thursday at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home. 

  Funeral services will be held at Noon Thursday at the funeral home.  Rev. Rob Dickman will officiate.

  Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery with full military rites by the Streator Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1492 and the Streator Leslie G. Woods American Legion Post 217.

  Pallbearers will be Craig Morgan, Rich Engstrom, Michael Fraga, Morgan Fraga, Dave Lawless and Mario Macias.

  He was born on February 19, 1937 in Streator to Bob & Esther (Bach) Frye.  He married the former Betty White on April 10, 1960 at the First Baptist Church in Streator.  She survives.

  He is also survived by his children:  Laura (Richard) Engstrom of Streator and Craig (Spring Rice) Morgan of Pontiac; his grandchildren:  Michael (Lisa Haughtigan) Fraga, Morgan (Taylor) Fraga and McKinlee & Kallen Morgan and one great grandson:  Griffey Fraga.

  He was preceded in death by his parents.

  He graduated from Streator Township High School and then served in the United States Army.

  He retired from Owen’s-Illinois Glass in the forming department after 37 years of service.

  Richard was a member of the Streator AMVETS where he served as Secretary, the Streator Moose Family Center and the Sandy Ford Sportsman Club.

  He was a Cubs and Bears Fan and loved to watch Soccer and watching his grandchildren play sports.  He was especially fond of his dogs and cats.

  Memorials may be directed to the Primitive Methodist Church in Streator.
